Moore County Government is excited to announce its new Twitter account, @MooreCountyGov. Through Twitter, Moore County officials will be able to quickly notify the public regarding County news, events and services.
“This is a great opportunity to allow the public to receive Moore County Government information conveniently and timely,” says County Manager Wayne Vest.

Maddie's Fund® is a family foundation that awards grants to be used towards increasing community lifesaving, shelter medicine education, and pet adoptions across the U.S.. Earlier this year, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Division was awarded a $5,000 grant from the Maddie’s Fund foundation. This grant money will be used to create a better adoption environment within the shelter to help facilitate more adoptions, equaling more animals saved from the local community.

The special guest speaker is retired Air Force Master SGT. and Pararescueman Scott Fales. The National Anthem will be sung by Toni Lynn Ross, bagpipes will be played by Peter McArthur and colors will be posted by the Union Pines NJROTC.
Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced that the Newly Remodeled Moore County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services shelter has re-opened and is back to normal operations! The facility has been transformed into an up-to-date safe and clean environment for staff and animals in their care.
Some changes you may notice include:
Resealed floors
New dog and cat kennels
Construction of a new in-take room
Automatic dog watering system
New industrial washer and dryer
