VOTING BY MAIL ~
We will begin mailing ballots to registered voters beginning Friday, September 09, 2016.
Voters wishing to vote by mail may request a ballot by completing the Absentee Ballot Request Form. You do not need an excuse to vote absentee by mail. Click here and complete your request. This completed form can be mailed, emailed, faxed or delivered in person to the Board of Elections.

SERVICES PROVIDED
You will be assisted by a combined team including Veteran Service Officers, VA Benefits, and VA Healthcare representatives to help facilitate and expedite new and existing claims, appeals and healthcare issues. We will also help with filing Veterans Pension, Widows Pension, Death Indemnity Compensation (DIC Benefits). If you do not have a copy of your military discharge papers (DD-214), we will assist you in obtaining that information.

WRAL-TV, in partnership with the Humane Society of the U.S., has teamed up with eight local animal shelters to host Clear the Shelters, the second annual nationwide pet adoption drive. Each shelter will waive adoption fees on Saturday, July 23, as part of the nationwide NBCUniversal Clear the Shelters initiative.
WHAT: Eight local animal shelters will participate in Clear the Shelters with WRAL-TV in partnership with the Humane Society of the U.S. Each shelter will waive adoption fees for one day.
WHEN: Saturday, July 23, 2016 (10 a.m.-6 p.m.)
WHERE: The following shelters: SPCA of Wake County, Wake County Animal Center, SAFE Haven for Cats, Orange County Animal Services, Moore County Animal Center, Durham Animal Protection Society, Edgecombe County Animal Shelter, Person County Animal Services. ADOPTION TRACKER: A real-time pet “Adoption Tracker” will record the total number of pets that are adopted across all participating markets.
