Moore County Landfill Information
Moore County Landfill is located at 456 Turning Leaf Way off Hwy #5 in Aberdeen, NC 28315. From Aberdeen it's one mile past Sandpit Road. From Pinehurst it's one mile past the Food Lion Shopping Center.
The scale house may be reached at 910-295-4202 and the shop 910-295-0431.
Landfill operations include the daily operation of the Construction and Demolition Landfill, Yard Waste Facility, and the collection sites for special waste such as scrap tires and white goods. Landfill staff also assists with off-site projects, which require the use of heavy equipment.
Following closure of the County's Sanitary Landfill, all municipal solid waste is routed through the Moore County Transfer Station, operated by Uwharrie Environmental, Inc. and transported for disposal in a lined high tech, Sub-title D Landfill facility in Montgomery County.
